A Marathoner's Guide to Albany

The annual Combos Marathon is held on the first Saturday of March, and we want to give runners a guide to Albany.

Easy Runs

Are you looking for a nice path to run before the marathon? Albany, Ga has some of the best "easy run" trails for you!

The Wilson Hospice House is located off Westover Blvd and provides a continuous 1.3-mile loop trail. This trail is perfect for anyone looking for more of a wilderness run.

Radium Springs is a 4.1-mile paved loop trail through an open field and woods, passing over where Radium Springs runs into the Flint River. This trail offers beautiful views and stunning colors of the spring. This year's Combos Marathon medal is also based on Radium Springs for the sites 100th anniversary.

The
Flint Riverfront Trail consists of 5.4 paved miles against the Flint River. This path is great for runners who are looking for an open trail with beautiful views to keep them occupied.

Chehaw Park Trail provides a 3.5-mile loop trail in the wilderness. There's nothing like a nice peaceful run before the race. If this sparks your eye, this is the trail for you!

While You're in Albany

This year Radium Springs Garden will celebrate its 100th year. Stroll through a courtyard where the former Radium Springs Casino once stood, enjoy foliage-draped hillocks, crystal clear waters and flora both indigenous and exotic. The park features a restored terrace, new sidewalks, a casino garden and gazebos.
